About
I believe art is a way of communicating the singularity and power of perspective. Through all mediums, we artists seek to display the world and our experiences within it distinctly, personally. It is because of my itch to grasp the world, as I see it, in my own two hands that, in tribute, I hold a camera instead. I want nothing more than to share the way color and light excite me as the sun dapples and dances on skin, and bodies are caught momentarily in their own dance of life.

I believe the world moves and time passes in order to inspire us who exist within this continuum to capture and/or recreate what we experience. The beautiful, horrific, heartwarming, and rousing strike us as such in order to compel us to find a way to share this effect and our interpretations of it.

I love the way the lens and viewfinder re-draft the world as a boundless work of art. I love the power of the four corners of a frame to contain this art and make it uniquely your perception of it in that moment in that place.

I take photos because I feel these ways about the world. I have taken photography classes throughout every semester of high school, where I have explored digital and film photography, developing and enlarging my work in our darkroom. Outside of school, photography is my biggest passion and hobby. I hope my portfolios make this clear.
